Daydreaming can turn into living the dream: What you should know about the law of attraction, visualization, and tools I use to create a life I love.

One of the fastest ways to get what you want is to actually know what you want.  Wait, what?!? Yes. You heard me correctly.  There is a difference between generally knowing what you want and specifically knowing what you want.  Know your outcome and ask for that. 

 For example, you may know that you want a car but do you want just any car?  What if you end up with a lemon? Are you going to be getting what you asked for?  Well, yes.  You got a car and that is what you asked for after all.  But what if you were to break it down so the Universe could deliver to you what actually want.  What if, you started off by visualizing that brand new, silver, 4 door, 4 wheel drive, Toyota 4Runner.  Now, that sounds better.  

Visualizing may not come as easy to others as it does to me and my fellow daydreaming pieces.  But there are some great ways to get you started.  You can simply write down what you want.  The easiest way I’ve found to do this is start of by writing: I am happy and grateful now that… and list as many items you want.  Try to do this with the mindset that if you would not fail these are the items that you’d want or things that you would do.  It may look something like this: 

I am happy and grateful now that…

I am driving my brand new silver, 4 door, 4 wheel drive, Toyota 4Runner.  

Money comes to me in abundance frequently from expected and unexpected sources.  

Another great way that can help you visualize what you want is first make a list of the various items that you’d like to have or attract into your life.  These items are limitless.  You can name simple items such as a new puppy (don’t forget to specify the breed if that is what you want), new home, new life partner, love, happiness, financial freedom, etc.  Take that list and make what I call a Digital Dream Board.  You can easily go to Pinterest and create a board.  I have a couple in fact that I’ve named Visualize it (https://www.pinterest.com/trina_PLC/visualize-it/) and Dreams turned into goals (https://www.pinterest.com/trina_PLC/dreams-turned-into-goals/) .  Truth is, I use most of my boards on Pinterest to help me visualize what I want and make it my reality.  My whole house has “Pinterest” written all over it.  Come follow me on Pinterest and check out some of my boards to help with ideas for yourself.  I also have created digital a college and used it as a computer screen background so that I can see it daily.  

You can also go the good ol’ fashion way which is grabbing a friend, a glass of wine and a whole lot of magazines and a big poster board.  Thumb through all of the magazines and cut out anything you see that you’d like to attract into your life and glue it on. Then you simply hang that board up somewhere that you can see it every day.  

One of the easiest ways to visualize or experience Law of Attraction visualization is to pretend you are doing exactly what you want.  This is what I did when my husband and I wanted to build our dream home in Costa Rica.  We’d had our land for 10 years and enough was enough. I was tired of waiting for the money to come and wanted to start building our home now.  We would visit our piece of land about once or twice a month to maintain it. While my husband was mowing the grass I would sit where I could picture our future living room being.  I would literally sit down on the grass and watch out my imaginary window at him mowing our imaginary front yard.  I would stand up and walk into our imaginary kitchen and pour him a glass of water and walk out of our imaginary front door and bring it to him.  With a big smile on his face he knew exactly what I had just imagined.  We didn’t know how we would pull off what was said to be a nearly impossible process of designing and constructing our dream home. We didn’t allow ourselves focus on the negative opinions. We kept our eyes on the prize and the experience we wanted to have.  And now, I am sitting in what once was my imaginary office typing this blog today.  IT WORKED! It all came together and the experience was just as beautiful as we had imagined.  

Visualizing isn’t just thinking about your desire or pulling your mind energy into it at all.  It’s about your heart and emotion.  The idea is to get yourself living the experience before you are actually living the experience. It is as if your visualization is your current reality. Then enjoy the unfolding of it all.  Enjoy the anticipation of what is to come.  Allow yourself to enjoy the process because sometimes that is the best part.
